Does it work well and with all the features with the Aqra hub M1S or does it need to be linked with a M3 to reach its full potential?

I have had problems with Lutron switches and connected hue bulbs when I turn off the hue bulb with the app or voice assistant it turns off then the Lutron Caseta switch turns it back on

Something not mentioned in the video when choosing which smart plug/if you need dimming or not is to consider how close the lights will be to you in your specific situation. I have mine strung up in a relatively small sunroom so I went with the meross dimmer option and it works great with no connection dropouts in over a month of use.

Really wish the dimming was capacitive (or had a physical slider) instead of long press. That would make it perfect. Absent that, it’s still not 100% guest-friendly

I’m looking for an actuator like the bulldog but the 90 degree motion needed doesnt have much resistance. Is there a smaller device that would work? I have been looking at deadbolts but I don’t need all of the fingerprint hardware, etc. Do I need a servo via esphome?

Looks great! Most of the switches I currently use have an led ring the stays lit when the light is off, making them easy to find in the dark. Can the status bar stay lit when the light is off? I assume so. But it is the one thing I was looking for and could really see in the video.

If you install it under your kitchen, will you bump against it with your toes every time?

The ZigBee (Blue) and Z-Wave (Red) variants of the switch have support for 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, and long press on all three buttons (up, down, config). Not sure if that will be coming to the release version of the White Switch, or if that's a Home Assistant-exclusive thing.

Hi Shane, no response from Yale Linus1 in HomeKit, but Aqara G4 doorbell works perfectly in HomeKit. I’m using thread border router (Apple tv 4k ethernet) The only way that Yale works in HomeKit, is to get close to the lock, open Yale app, open Home, and they will show the exact status of the lock.

Pro Tip: there’s no need to enable Express Mode and risk giving access to someone who has your phone if you own an Apple Watch. Being that the Apple Watch stays authenticated while it’s on your wrist, you can unlock the door without needing to aunthenticate on the watch.

I’d love to see Apple come up with their own HomeKit supported smart products for the home and office. 🏡

Thanks, I think ;) I bought the Govee Triad light, which supports Matter (thanks for the discount link?). I think you should do a separate review of this, as there are issues. Getting it going required the Govee app to update the firmware and get the pairing code. To my surprise, there was no Matter code anywhere on the lights or the packaging. The Govee app was supposed to give me that, but it took about 15 minutes for the Matter code to finally show up there. So that's one strike against it. But the biggest issue is the transformer is a (large) wall wart, which is ridiculous for an outdoor product. I can make it work in my setup (with some additional weatherproofing), but this is a big fail. And as a final insult to HomeKit, it shows up as a single Matter light, even though it supports different colors from each of the heads. For my use, not the end of the world, but others might not be so forgiving.

I've been using Innovelli's zwave switch and the zigbee switch. Zigbee switch is setup in smart bulb mode with two Philips hue bulbs. Works awesome! All wonderful products. I was ecstatic when Innovelli announced a matter/thread switch. Mine is pre-ordered!

Because you showed a card, I’m going to assume that it’s rfid so that means that a flipper zero is another way. Just use a rfid blocking bag/wallet to keep ya self safe 👍

After switching to the new M3 hub, I couldn't re-bind the T1M. The T1M Light says turn the light on/off 5 times. I wasn't thinking to do it RAPIDLY. That was my issue. This might help someone else.

I love my aqara U50 lock, I replaced my August lock with it and it's so much better than the August lock. I just wish I could open the u50 with my s24 ultra like you can with apple key.
